The Grandfather Paradox

Henrik Schwarz, Ame & Dixon (Below), all longtime djs/producers, were interested in the “space that is left between the sounds in minimal techno”.

The shared interest lead them to the project of discovering old favorites and presenting them on a compilation, as well as making edits. Even though all of them act in the field of minimal and house the music on the compilation is not strictly classic minimal techno.

The idea is basically that they all felt the abscense of inspiration thourogh the great older minimal-masters such as Robert Hood, Dan Bell and Plastikman. Thorough the project they want to raise that it was a lot going on before this “techno-thing”. But if you look and listen it’s simple to see the musical connections even though the time goes by.

Everything lead them to the release of “The Grandfather Paradox”. The definition is a scientific theory about time travelling and was first described by the science fiction writer Rene Barjavel in his book – Le Voyageur Imprudent.

It’s an impressive tracklist from three of the worlds most interesting producers.
